Embed FAQ

Is the widget really free?

Yes, for any site: university writing centers, library guides, course pages, blogs. The only condition is that the attribution links in the snippet stay intact.

Does the widget track my visitors?

No. Our analytics are disabled on embedded pages, and the widget sets no advertising or tracking identifiers inside your site.

Which citation styles does it cover?

APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, Turabian, MHRA, IEEE, Vancouver, AMA, Nature, ACS. Your visitors paste a DOI and copy the reference in any of them.

Where do the citations come from?

The DOI resolves against OpenAlex and Crossref, and the reference is rendered by the same citation engine and official style files CiteDash uses to compile whole thesis bibliographies.
