DOI to BibTeX
Paste a DOI or a doi.org link and copy a clean .bib entry, resolved through the same catalog pipeline CiteDash uses in its Library.
Building a .bib file one DOI at a time?
In CiteDash, a DOI paste files the paper into your project library with its full record, and the compiled bibliography exports as BibTeX or any of 12 styles whenever you need it.
DOI to BibTeX FAQ
Where does the BibTeX come from?
The DOI is resolved against OpenAlex and Crossref, the same open scholarly catalogs CiteDash uses in its Library, and the record is formatted as a standard @article entry with an author-year cite key.
Can I paste a doi.org link instead of the bare DOI?
Yes. doi.org URLs, dx.doi.org URLs and doi: prefixes are all accepted; anything that is not a real 10.xxxx identifier is rejected before it reaches the catalogs.
The DOI is brand new and not found. Why?
Catalogs index new publications with a short delay, sometimes a few days for a just-published paper. If the publisher only just issued the DOI, try again later or build the entry by hand.
How do I get a whole bibliography, not one entry?
That is the product: CiteDash keeps your library as real, resolvable papers and exports the compiled bibliography as BibTeX or in 12 citation styles at any time.
